Dr. Yasuo Hoshino received education at Nagoya Institute of Technology and studied at Doctoral course of Business Administration, Graduate School of Economics, University of Tokyo. He has taught at Graduate School of Management, Rutgers University, Graduate School of Business and Public Administration, University of Missouri at Colombia by Fulbright Fellowship and School of Commerce and Economics, University of New South Wales by Australia-Japan Foundation. He was Visiting Fellow, Graduate School of Business at University of California, Berkeley and Columbia University. He is a Professor, Faculty of Business Administration, International Pacific University, Okayama, Japan and Professor Emeritus at the University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan and Visiting Research Fellows of three organizations of Aichi University such as Institute of International Affairs, Institute of Managerial Research, and International Center for Chinese Studies, and Honorary Member of Institute of Chubu Industry Research, Aichi University. He is a Director, Japan Federation of Management related Academies, and a Councilor of the Union of National Economic Association in Japan,
He was Editor and now Managing Editor of “Japanese Journal of Administrative Science”, and Associate Editors of “Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies”, “Journal of Financial Management and Analysis” “SMART Journal of Business Management Studies”, “Modern Economy” and others. He has published 121 articles, just half of which are written in Refereed English journals and 33 books, of which 23 are written in English.
