近年、脳機能画像を用いた統合失調症の臨床症状の評価や抗精神病薬の薬効評価が行われている。本稿では、認知行動関連・脳機能画像研究と分子イメージング研究に分け、前者については情動や言語課題を用いた機能的磁気共鳴画像(fMRI)研究や安静時fMRI研究、後者については脳神経伝達機能やトランスポーターに特異的なトレーサーを用いたポジトロン断層撮影(PET)に関する研究を中心に、研究手法の概略と実際の研究内容の紹介を行った。(著者抄録)
