<p>中性子寿命はビッグバン元素合成やCKM行列のVud項の入力パラメータとなる重要な物理量である。現在中性子寿命の世界平均値を決定づけている 実験では大別して2つの手法が用いられているが、それらの結果には3.8σの乖離がある。本研究はその2つの手法とは別の手法を用いており、全く 異なる系統誤差を持つ実験である。最新の物理データを取得したので、本実験の系統誤差と結果を報告する。</p>

<p>中性子の寿命は基礎的な物理パラメーター(CKM行列のVud要素など)に影響を与える。これまで、中性子寿命(~880sec)は2種類の手法において値が求められているが、この手法間には3.8σのずれが存在している。そこで、我々NOPグループはJ-PARCにてこれらの実験とは独立な手法で0.1%精度での寿命導出を目指している。本講演は0.1%精度での測定に向けた検出器開発の進捗状況とアンプ開発の現状について報告する。</p>

<p>我々は大強度陽子加速器施設(J-PARC)において中性子と希ガスの散乱を用いた未知相互作用探索を行っている。中性子は電荷がなく原子間力を抑えられる粒子である。散乱標的に希ガスを使い、中性子の散乱角度分布を測定することで、ナノメートルスケールの未知相互作用を探索することができる。実験は2016年3月に行い解析を進めている。実験と解析、またこの実験のため開発したシミュレーションについて報告する。</p>

<p>^14^N(n,p)^14^Cは恒星中のs-processにおいて中性子を吸収してしまうため、CNOサイクル等の元素合成過程を阻害する反応の一つである。この反応断面積をJ-PARC/MLF/BL05の冷中性子ビームと中性子寿命測定用Time Prohection Chamberを用いてこれまでの断面積データの精度を超える統計精度で測定した。本講演では測定データの解析結果を報告する。</p>

<p>我々はパルス中性子源を用いた中性子電気双極子能率探索実験において実験容器へ封入する超冷中性子(UCN)の体積密度を向上させる装置「UCNリバンチャー」を開発しその改良を進めてきた。UCNリバンチャーは勾配磁場とスピンフリッパーを組み合わせた中性子加速器である。我々はスピンフリッパーの改良機を作成し、現在その動作の調整および性能評価を進めている。今回は改良リバンチャーの性能試験結果について報告する。</p>

<p>中性子の寿命はビッグバン元素合成やCKM行列のVud項を決定づける重要なパラメータである。これまでビーム法とボトル法の2つの手法によって寿命が測定されているが、両者の測定結果には8.4秒の乖離が存在する。本研究はビーム法に基づくが、中性子の崩壊を電子によって同定することで、先行研究と異なる不確かさで寿命を導出することができる。本講演では信号事象の同定と背景事象の評価について発表する。</p>
