Research activities: Obtained a degree (doctor) in the research of the Yakuno Ophiolite in the southwestern Japan Maizuru Terrane, and then participated in the 46th Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition to participate in the 46th Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition. I have been conducting research on the origin of mafic and ultramafic rocks in the Lützow-Holm complex in Eastern Antarctica. In addition, since I joined the Obsidian Research Center of Meiji University in 2011, I have been conducting activities centered on obsidian source studies. In particular, research activities based on international trends, such as international collaboration of obsidian research, are the main focus. In addition, since arriving at Nagasaki University in 2014, we have been creating geological maps and petrological research on the Neogene igneous rocks of the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture as a place for research and education in Nagasaki Prefecture. The main research methods are field geological survey and analytical chemistry (especially X-ray fluorescence analysis).
