A multi coil motor (MCM) with a digitally direct driven technology can realize high efficiency and low voltage operation. The MCM has several coils in each stators, which are winded as layered structure. In this paper we propose a mathematical model including a mutual inductance effect among stator coils of MCM. The proposed model is implemented in Matlab/Simulink/Simpower system. The simulation and measurement results with the mutual inductance effects confirm effectiveness of the proposed model.
