Profile

Molecular and cellular pathogenesis of herpesviruses/My interest is pathogenicity of herpesvirus, especially equine herpesvirus type 1, and immune response of the host at molecular and cellular point of view. The purpose of this research is to reveal the mechanism of virus infection and toestablish the prevention and control of the diseases./Investigation of potential emerging and reemerging pathogens in wild animals/This research has bee examined in order to know the current situation of bacteria, viruses, and chlamydia in wild animals and to predict the future occurrence of emerging diseases./The biology of Chlamydophila (Chlamydia) psittaci/I have characterized a zoonotic agent, Chlamydophila psittaci, at a molecular point of view. The results has been applied to epidemiological investigation and control measures of psittacosis.
