岡山 吉道

Yoshimichi Okayama is a medical doctor, Board certified in Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine (Subspecialty), and Allergy and Clinical Immunology (Subspecialty). He is a Fellow of Japanese Society of Allergy and Respiratory Medicine. He has a PhD in Immunology from Southampton University (UK), and a PhD in Medicine from Gunma University (Japan). He is currently an Associate Professor, Associate Director of Center for Allergy, Nihon University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. His postdoctoral trainings were performed at department of Medicine, Southampton University as a research fellow and a senior research fellow, and at Laboratory of Allergic Diseases, NIAID, NIH as a visiting scientist. His former position was associate unit director of Research Unit for Allergy Transcriptome, RIKEN Research Center for Allergy & Immunology, Yokohama, Japan. His expertise is in the area of basic and clinical immunology and allergy. His major interest is human mast cell biology and their roles in immunity; especially the roles of human mast cells in alergic and immunological diseases.
