Construction of coronal models for H2 d3Π u-a3Σ+ g- and I 1Πg-B1Σ+ u transitions for the evaluation of ro-vibrational temperatures

Excitationemission models for the H2 d3Πua3Σg and I1ΠgB1Σu transitions have been developed based on the coronal approximation. The ground state ro-vibrational temperatures evaluated from the IB transition are significantly higher than those from the da transition. The results may suggest the violation of the coronal approximation for the IB transition. © 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
