Montserrat Sanz, (PhD in Linguistics and Brain and Cognitive Sciences by the University of Rochester (NY)) is a professor in the Spanish Department at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies.Her research focuses on theoretical linguistics (syntax/semantics interface), language processing and L2 acquisition. She leads a research team on language science and its application to L2 teaching. One of her specialties has been the analysis of the process of Spanish acquisition by native speakers of Japanese.
