After the Great East Japan Earthquake,concern about disaster prevention measures is increasing.Although school sites are expected to be emergency shelters at the time of a disaster,students,teachers and school staffs don't have enough knowledge and experience to prepare for emergencies.Therefore we reformed our freshman training camp so that the students can learn ehat to do in case of an emergency through the activities of the camp.The aim of the camp is to train students to help not only themselves but also other people in the case of an emergency.The training camp includes evacuation drills,setting up tents and make-shift shelters,outdoor cooking,lifesaving training and so on.In this paper we introduce the contents of each activity,show the results of the questionnaire from the attendees,and srgue the effect of each of the activities.
