Cannabinoidreceptorsarefamousfortheirimportantroleinpain.Inthisstudy,weconductedtheexperimentstorevealtheroleofcannabinoid(CB)receptorsinthespinallevelusingorofacialneuropathicpainmodelintherat.CB1receptorantagonistSR141716Ashowedtheeffecttoincreasemechanicalthresholdafterspinalinjection.CB2receptoragonistHU308alsoaffectedthemechanicalthresholdafterinjectionlikeCB1antagonist.Ontheotherhands,therewasnoeffectstothemechanicalthresholdafterCB1agonistR(+)-MethanandamideandCB2antagonistAM630injectiontothespinalcord.TheseresultssuggestedthatthepathwayrelatedtoCB1andCB2receptorshavetheoppositeeffectsinthespinalcord.
