Recently, renewable energy generation in distribution system is increasing, and much more attention is paid to voltage management issues caused by PVs. In previous studies, the authors have analyzed frequency spectrum of voltage fluctuation based on FFT. Due to the high speed fluctuation of PV output, high frequency component is increased and more efficient voltage control by not only SVR but also TVR and SVC is required to compensate the high speed voltage change. Here, reasonable placement of those voltage regulators is needed to maximize the control performance. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a determination method of optimal placement of voltage regulators in distribution systems based on frequency domain supposing a larger amount of PVs are connected with the system.
