Koshino is a research scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. He joined AIST after working as a group leader of ERATO at the Japan Science and Technology Agency. Koshino also was a researcher and a lecturer at Kyoto University where he received his DSci degree. His research interests include characterizations of organic- and bio-materials, nanocomposites, quantum dots, and photovoltaic solar cells and their theoretical interpretations.
