分裂中期細胞の光学顕微鏡デジタル画像の染色体像にtopographic labelingを適用し、ラベル画像のRidge及びValleyラベルの連結性、ラベルの連結塊の濃淡画像における濃度変化が形態異常染色体の識別等に利用できる特徴量であることを示した。
