  • hern & northern hybridization etc。 During my graduation from the University, I have worked on Plant tissue Culture and have submitted a thesis entitled ‘ Exploitation of in vitro technique for commercialization of disease free banana plantlets. I have practical experience on various techniques of Plant Tissue Culture.
  • Research Activities Present research and Interests 1. Functional Symbiosis (N2-fixing) related mutant screening and characterization by various physiological, biochemical and structural analysis (using Electron & light microscopy) in Lotus japonicus upon inoculation with Rhizobium bacteria. 2. Rough mapping for identifying tentative mutant locus in Lotus japonicus genome. 3. Map-based or positional cloning for isolation of genes involved in functional endosymbiosis and functional analysis of corresponding genes using molecular techniques. Interested to conduct research on gene isolation and characterization; map based or positional cloning as well as functional genomics. Past Research Isolation, identification and molecular characterization of cDNAs encoding plant heterotrimeric G-proteins from common wheat. During my Ph. D. research, I acquired practical experience on various molecular techniques such as DNA & RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, constraction of cDNA library and screening by plaque hybridization, PCR and RT-PCR, plasmid extraction, gene cloning by reverse genetics, sequencing and analysis of sequences by using various Genetic software, designing primers and Sout
