本報告では、ソウル特別市恵化教会周辺と、ソウル特別市中心部から広域鉄道特急で約1時間の場所にあるC道C市のフィリピン人コミュニティとその関連組織に焦点を当て、フィリピン人女性結婚移民・移住労働者が移民先社会に統合されながらも、民間・行政の移民支援団体、同国人コミュニティなどを活用し、フィリピン人同士の社会関係を形成する様相について発表する。

本報告の目的は、従来の在日フィリピン人研究を再検討としたうえで、過去から現在にかけての在日フィリピン人の移住経緯と背景の変化を念頭に置き、従来の移動し、定着することで完結する移住モデルでは完結しない、現在増加しつつある、日比間を頻繁に往来し、両国間に跨るトランスナショナル関係を構築しつつある「新しい」在日フィリピン人の社会関係を解明するための研究方法論について論じたい。

本報告では、近年、フィリピンに拠点を置き、主に日本人によって運営されているいくつかのNGOが、90年入管法改訂後に日本での在留資格取得が可能になった日系のフィリピン人、フィリピン育ちの日本国籍をもっている人々を、日本に送り出していることについて、今後の新たな日比間の移住現象として照準を合わせている。
