Profile

My main research topic is "ordinary" people's attitude that arose when they see, hear, and encounter different culture, or people with different culture. I have been conducting this research with focus on East Asian societies such as Japan, South Korea, and Mongolia. Particularly Mongolia is the country to which I have been paying special attention, so I have been observing its politics, economy, and external relationship. In addition to this, I conduct reviews of cross-national social survey programs implemented in East Asia, whose data I use for analyses. I hope my research is of any help to "collaboration of multicultural people," the issue inevitable for Japan today as well as in the future.
