I have been working as Professor of English language education at my current post since 2010. I have an MA from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Educational Sociology from Nagoya University. My main research area is international education which includes: student mobility (incoming and outgoing); intercultural education and communication; the internationalization of higher education. I have enjoyed spending over 20 years studying, working and living in Asia, and am deeply interested in meeting new and diverse people and exploring different cultures.
