Ching-Chang Chen is Professor and Head in the Department of Global Studies at Ryukoku University. Before joining Ryukoku, he has taught at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, including various field study programs in China, Korea and Taiwan. His current research focuses on critical security studies with reference to East Asia, theories and practices of international relations at/from/for the margins, and East Asian medicine-inspired political healing. Prof. Chen has appeared in media such as Al Jazeera and NHK and published a series of peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He is a co-editor of The North Korea Crisis and Regional Responses (Honolulu: East-West Center, 2015) and a co-author of China and International Theory: The Balance of Relationships (London: Routledge, 2019).
