We developed a stainless microfluidic probe with 2D arrayed microapertures that realizes complex flow control, intended for the use in bioapplications. The microfluidic probe is fabricated using stacking technology of micropatterned stainless substrate, and has 48 apertures connected to 3D isolated microchannels inside a single probe, enabling us to control the flow through them independently. Thus, the device will be applicable to 2D patterning of fluids, micro sampling and injection of biological objects. This paper reports the fabrication of the probe, and the demonstration of protein patterning on a glass substrate.
