Profile

Dr. Tetsuya Sato is a professor in the dept. of electrical engineering at Kobe City College of Technology and the PI for ICT-applied Educational Technology Laboratory(Sato-lab). Our goal is to maximize students' learning performance by utilizing ICT-technologies. The college has been established and dedicated for young engineer candidates with the intensive 5-year course after completing 9th grade, while a challenge for such youths includes the ESL learning that is an essential skill for all prospective engineers recently. Therefore one of our current focuses includes a smart-phone-based ESL learning application linked with a data server for automatic big-data accumulations and analysis. Practical experiments on ICT-technological educations in English for non-native students are also in our primary research scope, currently working on the technological skills including the digital circuit design as well as the computer(or microprocessor) programing education for prospective global engineers. Our commitments include regular contributions(R&D updates) at research conferences and providing first-hand experiences on our under-developing applications for visitors to our lab. including our College Festival, Open Campus and other occasions.
For our global collaboration, we have developed an Alexa skill "KCCT Vocabulary Builder with Voice Interaction", which is now globally available at Aamazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L2R2MGM).
