Hideyuki Azegami

He finished a doctorate (Doctor of Engineering) at University of Tokyo in March 1985. From April, he started working as a research associate at Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo. The next year, he was transferred to Toyohashi University of Technology. After promoted to a lecturer and associate professor there, in April 2003, he was promoted to a professor in Nagoya University. After working there for 19 years, he retired from the university (Professor Emeritus) and is continuing his research at Nagoya Industrial Science Research Institute as a senior researcher. His specialty is numerical analysis. Especially, he intensively studied in solution of shape optimization problems. By the achievement, he got titles of Fellows from Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, Japan Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and Asian Society for Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization.
