The public long-term care insurance system is launching in Japan. Care mangers are expected fairness and neutrality of their work. Licensed care managers in Ube City did not have long time since they were guaranteed, so they had much anxiety. We surveyed care managers in Ube City ; questionnaires were sent to them and 106 out of 142 were returned. Most of them anticipated founding of association for care-managers, but only 56% of them planned to work as care-mangers. Association was expected to give them opportunities ; ^<1)>communicating to each care manager, ^<2)>getting information about service supplied in Ube city, and ^<3)>training for their skill on care managing (assessment and care planning). Most of care managers got information from TV, and magazine (86%), and 30% of them got information from their colleagues. Association for care managers should be organized in order to increase their skill, ability, morale as soon as possible.
