A streamline visualization technique for sub-volume based CFD results

In this paper, we propose a streamline visualization techniques for a large-scale CFD result that is divided into multiple sub-volumes. In the proposed technique, we construct a new data structure for representing an adjacency between the sub-volumes in order to improve the efficiency of calculating a streamline among multiple sub-volumes. We applied our technique to the calculated oral airflow simulation result that is comprised of 71M hexahedral cells and is divided into 16 sub-volumes, and confirmed its effectiveness in our experiments.
