Analysis on the compensating thermal lensing effect using a convex mirror in vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers

We proposed the compensation of a thermal lensing, effect and transverse-mode control by applying a curved mirror in vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers. Results indicate that a convex mirror with a proper curvature compensates for a thermal lensing.
