ダイズ種子は他の主要作物に比べて多量の窒素を蓄積する.そのため,生育後期には光合成関連物質である葉のクロロフィルやルビスコなどを分解して種子に窒素を送る自己破壊的な転流が起こり(Sinclair and de Wit 1975),結果として生育後半の光合成能を低下させ収量を大きく制限していると推察される.根粒超着生系統はその高い根粒窒素固定能により,全窒素供給量を嵩めるとともに,自己破壊的な転流を緩和するものと期待される.しかし,これまでに作出された根粒超着生系統は,生育が貧弱で実用に耐え...
