農業害虫を中心に、バイオインフォマティクスによるゲノム・発現遺伝子情報解析を駆使した研究開発を行っています。現在、殺虫剤抵抗性が大きな問題となっている様々な重要農業害虫の効率的な防除手法の確立を目指して、「ゲノム解析およびゲノムデータベースの構築」、「殺虫剤抵抗性原因遺伝子の同定」および「遺伝子診断法の開発」等を進めています。
