我々の研究グループでは、非界面活性剤系の洗浄剤(材料は主に珪酸ナトリウムであり、本研究では商品名ジェイパルを使用)を用いる事で、放射性セシウムを効率よく除去出来る技術を発見した。この洗浄剤を用いる事で、ある程度固定化されたセシウムが何らかの形で取り出せることがわかっており、その化学特性についての考察を発表する。

空気ナノバブル水は、そのナノサイズの気泡による効果(表面活性・衝撃圧力)が砂礫中に固定化されたセシウム除去に有効である事が判明しつつある。本研究では、そのナノバブル水のパラメータ(粒度、濃度)と除染率との関係について調査した結果を発表する。
