Factor analysis between the environmental factors of Oshima Ohnuma showed that the total numbers of beef cattle correlated with annual COD75% values. Average temperature in winter also correlated with the COD. These results mean that half reduction of cattle breeding products in the basin is necessary for the water improvement and the global warming may effect negatively on the improvement of water quality in Ohnuma.
