電子顕微鏡を用いた分析技術(軟X線発光分光、電子エネルギー損失分光、収束電子回折)の開発と、その物性物理への応用により、新たな顕微分析技術の確立をメインテーマとして活動しています。最近、電子顕微鏡用軟X線発光分光装置を汎用化(商品化)したことから、研究だけでなく、その普及活動にも力を入れています。
