This paper aims to clarify the characteristics of the planning and the relationship between the architectural planning and the care system of the exiting unit-type special nursing home for the elderly. For this objective, an analysis was carried out by comparing the plans of institutions applied in 2006 and in 2003. The results are following.<br>1) The equipments and the floor space obey the minimum standard considerably in institutions applied in 2006.<br>2) In 2006, the composure of the living-dining space and the setting rate of the individual bathtub were improved.<br>3) The management doesn't satisfy the standard enough. Therefore, in order to maintain the sufficient management, it is needed that the planning is done in view of the work force.
