This paper considers a hypothesis that Japanese students' shallow and rapid respiratory rhythms due to their hunchbackpositions interfere their reading and listening comprehension of English, which is delivered on the premise of deep andprolonged respiratory rhythms.In this paper,appropriate research procedures and respiratory examinations in order toinvestigate the hypothesis are designed after conducting pilot listening experiments combined with the respiratory datalogging on the twelve Japanese students.
