The SU(2) gauge theory in a nonlinear gauge is studied. An auxiliary field which represents -B + ig(c) over bar x c is introduced at a cutoff scale. It is shown that this field has a non-zero vacuum expectation value under a scale mu(0) in three and four dimensions. In four dimensions, we find that mu(0) coincides with the QCD scale parameter.
