コンピュータグラフィックスなどの図形処理技術を用いて，ものづくりを高度化（高品質化，高速化）するソフトウェアの研究に興味を持っています．ものづくりに関する研究をする以上，成果を産業界に還元することは必須と考え，時間があれば企業に出向き研究成果の紹介と，企業の抱えている問題の収集をしています．最近は私どもの研究に興味を持つ企業も増え，多くの企業に研究成果であるソフトウェアを使っていただいています．皆さんの身近な製品（自動車やプリンタなど）も，茨城大の技術を用いて作られたものかもしれません．
