研究分野は,プラズマ産業応用技術、特に地球環境保護と材料化学への応用です。 学部では「環境保全工学」,大学院では「環境保全工学特論」という授業を担当しています。近年は,環境技術ならびにプラズマ材料化学の分野で,アジアやアメリカの企業や研究所と重点的な共同研究を行っています。最近、エルゼビア社から"New Technologies for Emission Control in Marine Diesel Engines" と題する専門書・教科書を執筆し,エルゼビア社から発刊しました。
読者は機械工学,電気工学,船舶海洋工学などの学生,研究者を想定しています。また,プラズマ産業応用技術に関して,研究成果を紹介するための定期的な講習会,講演会にも力を入れています。
