Telluroglycosides are activated under neutral conditions and serve as excellent glycosyl donors in the glycosylation reaction. Both alpha- and beta-anomers are selectively formed by the proper choice of the C-2 protecting group and solvent. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
