フレキシブル・ラーニングの点から、大学授業における主体的学習の支援を課題にする。学生の主体的学習を支援する方法として、学生がもっとも関心をもつ成績評価に着目する。学生の成績評価に対する動機付けを高めることで、主体的学習を支援することを目的とする。 成績評価を内発的動機づけと捉え、自己評価を試みる。具体的には、毎時の授業終了時に、学生が自己評価による学習把握シートを記入することにより、学習状況を把握し、次に何を学習すべきかを考えさせるといった主体的学習を支援する。
