重調和波動方程式により円形孔を有する平板モデル化し，その平面波散乱を数値的に解析した．ある条件が満たされると，輻射波の主要な成分が抑制されるために，散乱波による散乱体の検出ができなくなる効果すなわち”隠れ蓑”効果の存在を明らかにした．
