社会的に排除された若者の自立支援にコミュニティ・エンパワメントの視点から接近する意義と課題を検討した。具体的な事例に即して、共時的移行の困難と自己の構造化の困難との関連を確認した上で、コミュニティ・エンパワメント型支援実践の構造を解明した。最後に、そのようなタイプの実践がもたらす自己の構造変化を、協働的な自己再構成の過程として抽出し、協働的活動システムの構築による支援実践や教育実践の可能性を導いた。
