ケイン エレナ アン

Eleanor Kane, professor in the Faculty of International Relations, University of Shimane, Japan has taught for over thirty years in the UK and Japan. She is interested in the role that Virtual Exchange can play in a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach to language learning, through collaboration between educators in diverse fields. She is the recipient of three Japanese Ministry of Education grants to investigate Virtual Exchange, and two awards from Global Partners in Education for collaborative Virtual Exchange projects. She holds an M.A. (Hons.) in English Language and Literature from the University of Glasgow, an M.Phil. in Publishing from Stirling University, and a M.Sc. TESOL from Aston University. She recently published two CLIL textbooks on language issues and Global Englishes. In 2025, she was an academic visitor at the University of Glasgow researching CLIL and Global Englishes, and implications for virtual exchange in these fields.
