Ne-17 is one of the candidates for proton halo nuclei. To study the halo structure of Ne-17, we measured the reaction cross-sections (sigma(R)) and deduced the density distribution of Ne-17 through the energy dependence of sigma(R). From the deduced density, it is found that Ne-17 has a long density tail which is consistent with the picture of two valence protons of Ne-17 occupying the 2s(1/2) orbital.
