Profile

Hideaki Takanobu is full professor in the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering, Kogakuin University, Tokyo, Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Waseda University in 1998. His research is in 3D swarm intelligence, growing humanoid robot, vital sign simulator, surgical retractor. His exploration in this research ranges from deductive research by 3D swarm intelligence to inductive research by full-scale humanoid robot. He was awarded ICAM Best Paper Award, JSME Medal for Outstanding Paper, Best Paper Award of Japan Society of Computer Aided Surgery etc. He served as 110+ academic committee member including IEEE Conferences' Program Committee and Technical Committee for Robotics and Mechatronics of IFToMM. He is a member of IEEE.
