安田 琢麿

Takuma YASUDA received his Ph.D. in 2005 from Tokyo Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Takakazu Yamamoto. After completing postdoctoral research with Prof. Takashi Kato at the University of Tokyo, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo in 2008. In 2010, he moved to Kyushu University where he joined Prof. Chihaya Adachi’s group as Associate Professor. He was also a concurrent researcher of JST-PRESTO from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, he was appointed Professor at the INAMORI Frontier Research Center of Kyushu University. Since 2022, he has been Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, Kyushu University. His research is directed towards the design, synthesis, functionalization, and device applications of electro- and photo-active π-conjugated molecular materials. His current research interests include pioneering a new organic excitonics field aimed at unexplored and innovative functions. To date, he has published over 160 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, which have been cited over 13,500 times with an h-index of 61.
