Scaling down technology provides great advantages while causing some challenges of handling liquids in micrometer scale compartment of lab-on-chip devices. Using motor protein-based transport, further decrease of the channel/chamber size is possible to increase sensitivity, as no liquid manipulation is necessary. Here, we propose an enzymatic detection system based on direct transport of molecules into a chamber for analysis. This paper investigates two main components of the proposed system: direct transport of molecules without compromising functionality and constructing the necessary rail structure.
