生体用金属材料であるTiと骨の形成を促進すると報告されているMgを合金化し、Ti-Mg合金の生体用金属材料としての可能性を探った。DCマグネトロンスパッタ法により作製したTi-Mg合金薄膜を擬似体液に30日間浸漬し、骨の無機成分であるリン酸カルシウムの析出挙動について調査・検討を行った。その結果、Mgの含有量が33mass%のTi-Mg合金薄膜では膜の剥離は生じず、表面にリン酸カルシウムが析出することがわかった。
