The Egyptian Culture Center of Waseda University carried out the excavation of the seventh field season at Dahshur in March 2001. Here New Kingdom necropolis was found and we encouraged discussion on the extent and disposition of this period at Saqqara and Dahshur. We have concentrated the research on the area called "Tomb of Ipay (The Royal Butler) and its vicinity", dated to the Post-Amarna period. This season we enlarged the area and we found that the western lower hillside formed a simple burial place, dated to the New Kingdom period, not so late than it. Shaft 13 located at the east side of Ipay's, tomb may be dated to the late 18 Dyn. Shaft 15, with a probable superstructure, had scarce objects, as it had been disturbed completely, but the box-type burial pits suggested it can be dated to the Ramesside period. The owner's name of the tomb is still unknown. Ipay's area was almost completed by the complementally cleaning works of the tomb. It was noteworthy that the name and title of "Ipay", previously only found on stumped mud bricks, were supplemented by a funeral stela bearing the name "Ipay", suggesting a connection between "Ipy, Royal Scribe and Steward" who constructed a tomb in Amarna, and "Ipay", the tomb owner at Dahshur.
