Ryohei Kishi was born in May 1981, in Hyogo, JAPAN. He accomplished his master degree from Osaka University in 2006. During doctor course in Osaka University, he was selected as a research fellowship for young scientist at Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) from 2006 to 2007. In February 2007, he became a research associate of Department of Materials Engineering Science at Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. Since April 2007, he is an assistant professor at Department of Materials Engineering Science, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. He received his Ph.D. in 2009 from Osaka University under the supervision of Professor Dr. Masayoshi Nakano. The title of his Ph.D. thesis was "Development of Theoretical Method for Electron Dynamics and Its Application to Energy Migration and Optical Responses". His recent research projects especially focus on, (1) development of theoretical method for coherent and incoherent electron dynamics and its application to optical responses and carrier transfer processes, (2) modeling linear and nonlinear optical spectra of closed- and open-shell molecular and periodic systems, (3) theoretical designing for versatile functional molecular materials.
