Sakiko Kanbara, PhD
Professor, Disaster & Global Nursing | Founder of EpiNurse | Planetary Health & Resilience Advocate | SDGs & Beyond | DX for Inclusive Care
I am a disaster nursing and public health scholar based in Japan, dedicated to advancing inclusive, culturally sensitive, and technology-enhanced care systems for communities facing disaster and climate-related risks. My work centers on developing transdisciplinary strategies that connect health, environment, and social equity — particularly through resilience-based approaches and knowledge co-creation.
As the founder of EpiNurse, I lead field-based projects and data-driven models for disaster preparedness and vulnerable population support, collaborating with global partners and community actors.
Currently focusing on:
Planetary Health and Community Resilience
Digital transformation (DX) in disaster nursing
Traditional knowledge and local food systems in climate adaptation
Capacity building for next-generation nurse leaders
Let’s collaborate to shape a future where care, technology, and sustainability converge.
