My research focused on the history of Ho Chi Minh City in Southern Vietnam from the first half of the 19th century, and the transformation of the rural society in Vietnam as a result of industrialization.
I have recently started historical research of villages of modern South Vietnam using GIS.
Due to my present affiliation with a university library, I am also interested in collecting resources on Southeast Asian research (particularly resource sharing between libraries), and the collection and storage of fieldwork data (microdata and interview transcripts) in libraries and research institutions.
