 研究テーマ・研究内容

 (a)テーマ1：オルタナティブ・スクールにおける多様な学びの実態分析

  日本と韓国のオルタナティブ・スクール（代案学校、AS）を対象に、不登校や学校不適応など困難を抱える子ども・若者に対する学びの保障を実証的に研究している。自己主導型学習や関係性に基づいた教育実践に注目し、子ども・保護者・教職員へのインタビューや参与観察を通じて、多様な学びのあり方がどのように形成されているのかを、現場に根差した質的研究として検討している。制度外の教育空間における創造的で持続的な学びの意義と、その社会的・文化的背景を探っている。

（b）テーマ2：地域社会とオルタナティブ教育の連携モデル

　ASが地域の教育・福祉資源としてどのように位置づけられ、地域社会と連携しながら運営されているのかを検討している。行政・NPO・福祉など多様な主体との協働によって構築される支援ネットワークに着目し、地域ぐるみの教育支援の構造と動態を分析している。ASを学校と社会をつなぐ中間的空間として捉え、その社会的機能と教育的意義を探っている。

(c)テーマ3：若者の社会移行と教育的エージェンシーの回復

 AS卒業生や、学校外での学びを経験した若者の社会移行プロセスを追跡し、移行期におけるエージェンシーの回復と形成に注目している。進学や就職といった形式的な成果だけでなく、本人の語りを通じて、社会参加の多様なあり方を描き出している。教育が若者の主体的な進路選択と持続的な社会参画を支える基盤となりうることを検討している。 

また、地域社会との連携を含む教育支援の仕組みや、中等後教育・移行支援における制度と文化の違いにも関心を持ち、日韓比較を中心とした国際比較教育研究にも取り組んでいる。学校と社会、制度と個人のあいだをつなぐ中間領域に立ち現れる「学びの可能性」を捉えることが、研究の軸として据えている。

　　My research focuses on the educational experiences and social transitions of young people whose lives do not fit neatly within institutional frameworks. Centering on alternative schools (AS) in Japan and South Korea, I conduct field-based qualitative studies to examine how diverse forms of learning emerge in non-formal educational spaces, particularly for youth who are experiencing school refusal or social withdrawal.　

　　Through close attention to the narratives of students, parents, teachers, and school staff, I explore the reconstruction of learning from the perspectives of diverse learning, educational agency, and social inclusion, aiming to bridge theory and practice. I am also engaged in international comparative research, particularly between Japan and South Korea, to analyze the cultural and institutional conditions that shape educational support systems, including community collaboration and post-secondary transition pathways.

　　My work seeks to illuminate the potential of learning that arises in the in-between spaces—between school and society, policy and practice, and individual and system.
